We provide information on facilities, transportation access, and wheelchair and rollator rentals, etc. We also have writing boards for written communication and translation devices. Please feel free to talk to the staff at the information counter.

Wheelchair and Rollator Rentals

Free wheelchairs and rollators are available at the Information Counter on the 1st floor of the Domestic Terminal. They are for visitors who are using Akita Airport for purposes such as sightseeing or seeing passengers off. Passengers who are scheduled to board a flight are requested to apply at the check-in counter of their airline.

※Please note that the number of wheelchairs and rollators available is limited.

Writing Boards for Communication

Writing boards for communication are available at the Information Counter on the 1st floor of the Domestic Terminal and the Royalsky Lounge on the 2nd floor.

Unmanned Information Counter

The unmanned information desk gives priority to customers who require special assistance. If you pick up the receiver of the telephone on the desk, you will be connected to the staff member for inquiries.

Customers using Akita Airport for the first time, or those who feel uneasy about using the airport, are also welcome to make use of this service. A lower desk accessible to wheelchair users is also available.

Accessible parking spaces are available in Parking Lot 1 and the Multi-Story Parking Garage.

Accessible Pick-up and Drop-off Area

An accessible pick-up and drop-off area is located on the road near the exit on the Arrival Lobby side of the Domestic Terminal Building (1st Floor).

Multipurpose Restrooms

Wheelchair-accessible restrooms equipped with handrails are available throughout the terminal building.
In addition, the restrooms on the 1st floor of the Domestic Terminal Building and in the boarding lobby on the 2nd floor of the Domestic Terminal Building are equipped with facilities for ostomates.

Elevator

There are three elevators at the domestic terminal building.
The central elevator is equipped with features such as a rear-view mirror, low-position control buttons, braille signs, raised lettering, and voice guidance, making it easy and accessible for everyone to use.
This is a priority elevator, please be considerate and share its use with others.

Calm Down/ Cool Down Room

The Calm Down/ Cool Down Room is a space designed for individuals who may experience sensory sensitivity, strong anxiety, or tension and need a place to calm themselves.
It provides a quiet environment where users can temporarily relax and regain emotional and physical balance. When using the room, please lower the roll screen at the entrance.

Customers Traveling with Children

Nursing Room

A nursing room is available in the Departure Lobby on the 2nd floor of the Domestic Terminal Building. There are two diaper-changing tables, one of which is set at a height accessible to wheelchair users. A baby formula preparation machine is also provided.
The nursing area located at the back is for women only. However; the front area (diaper-changing tables, sink, and formula preparation machine) is also available for use by men.

Kids’ Corner(Located Inside the Boarding Lobby)

This is a dedicated space for children to enjoy their time before boarding.
Blocks, picture books, and other items are available. Please ensure children are accompanied by a parent or guardian when using this area.

※As it is located inside the boarding lobby, only passengers who are departing are able to use this facility.
